This City Limits is a modern rock band from South Yorkshire, drawing influence from American bands such as Rise Against and Against Me!, and from an emerging wave of contemporary British rock, including groups such as We Are The Ocean, Lower Than Atlantis and Mallory Knox. The band consists of lead vocalist Will Turner, guitarist George Turner, drummer Josh Peters, and bassist Robert Burns.

In 2013, brothers Will and George began working together on a set of original songs that would eventually form This City Limits’ debut E.P., ‘Brittle Brass & Broken Bone’. Following a number of changes in 2014, a steady line-up was reached with the addition of Rob and Josh. Rob wore an Every Time I Die t-shirt to his audition, Josh went with Architects. We were sold immediately; although it also turns out they can play the instruments we needed, which helps…

Following the release of ‘Brittle Brass and Broken Bone’, the band released two new singles in 2014. The two tracks, ‘Amputate’ and ‘Colourblind’, were well received, and garnered attention from the national press and radio. ‘Amputate’ has received consistent airplay in the last 12 months, and has been featured on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music show several times.

In January 2015, the band began work on a second E.P., working with producer James Hill at Steel City Studios, Sheffield. Funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, production work has just been completed on the first single, ‘Too Scared To Swim’, which will be released in April 2015. In the next 2 months, the band will also be playing gigs in London, Sheffield, Leeds, Doncaster, Hull and a number of others.
